Abstract:
Micro-Channel Plate devices are the fastest solid-state devices able to provide timing in the pico-
second range. The availability of deep sub-micron CMOS technologies allows achieving pulse 
sampling in the 1-10 GigaHertz range for front-end systems at affordable power, room and cost. 
First tests of a 130nm CMOS sampling ASIC are reported. 
The associated digital signal processing is also discussed.
