From BEPC to Daya Bay –

An Introduction of Particle Physics in China

Domestic particle physics program in China started from BEPC/BES running at the tau-Charm energy region. Its recent upgrade, BEPCII/BESIII, put it into the frontier of flavor physics and hadron physics in the next ten years. The latest proposed Daya Bay reactor neutrino experiment plans to search for a new type of neutrino oscillation, and measure the mixing angle theta_13 to an unprecedented precision. Other high energy physics activities in China will also be reviewed.
