Fermilab Academic Lectures
10:30am - 12:00 noon
Hints for viewing the lectures in streaming video:
Click on "View in separate player" when you get to the web page to start up the video. This opens a new RealOne Player window outside your browser.
Choose "Double size" or "Full screen" viewing options. Try "ctrl+2" and "ctrl+3" if you can't find the "view" menu. The camera sharpness is usually OK, but you need this extra magnification to be able to read the blackboard.
Practical Statistics for Physicists
These lectures emphasize the practical aspects of using Statistics to dreive results from experimental data in an efficient manner. Many examples are used ti illustrate the ideas. The level is suitable for PhD students with some experience of statistics, but they should also be interesting for post-docs and others too.
