A Century of Particle Physics

A review of particle physics in the 20^th century is presented, with special emphasis on those people that contributed substantially, yet did not get much attention in the public eye. The benefits to particle physics from astrophysics will be reviewed. In addition, a rather personal view of the present situation and the hope for the future will be forced onto the public.
