We are expecting a revolutionary change in our understanding of particle physics as we make the next step in energy. We might discover any combination of supersymmetry, extra dimensions, new dynamics, and new forces. To understand what nature is telling us we will need, in addition to the Large Hadron Collider, the proposed International Linear Collider. The recent decision about the ILC technology is an important and historic milestone. Fermilab has a unique role in making the ILC a reality, and the benefit to the laboratory will be great. I will describe the status of the International Linear Collider and what Fermilab will do to advance the project.
