Development of Silicon Photomultipliers at ITC-irst.

Abstract

The seminar is divided in two parts. The first is a brief introduction
in which I will describe ITC-irst and its main activities in the field of 
silicon radiation detectors.

The second part is dedicated to Silicon Photomultipliers.
First I will give an overview on the operation principle of the device evidencing the
important parameters governing its functioning. 
Then I will show the work carried out at ITC-irst. In particular, I will describe
the technology we developed, and the electrical characteristics of the devices
we have produced so far.
Finally, I will point out our future developments.

Measurement of the Photodetection efficiency of SiPMs at ITC-irst.

Abstract

In this talk I will describe the measurements of the photodetection efficiency
we carried out on IRST Silicon Photomultipliers. 
I will give an overview on the techniques we used and the main results obtained.
