The Hubble Space Telescope has had a profound impact on nearly all sub-fields of astronomy including cosmology, the early evolution of the universe, black holes, galaxy research, stars, extra-solar planets, and the solar system.  This colloquium will give some of the highlights of the most important research concentrating especially on areas for which the telescope was not expected to be important.
